This semester in Advanced Graphic Design I expect to become
a better designer. I know this is probably the most general thing any designer
could say but I have a plan. To become a better designer I am going to
diversify my work from its normal state. To do this I plan on incorporating my
illustration style. I think this will help diversify my work because unlike my
typical design work my illustrations are sketchy and rough.
I would like to design all the collateral for a local
restaurant.
There are many things that concern me about my future as a successful graphic designer. The one thing that I fear the most is that I will not be good enough to compete against all of the talented designers in the field. The thing about this fear is that there is not much I can ask of you, only myself. A more reasonable concern I have is that the hand printed media that I love to create is disappearing. I would welcome any help/guidance as to how I could include more hand made and printed goods into my career.
